Effective 1 November 2026
Terms Of Service
These Terms govern your use of the ihab budgeting app, the ihab.fyi website, and the beta-interest form. Please read them before using these services. If you do not agree, do not use them.
1. Scope And Service
ihab helps you organize budgets, accounts, transactions, and spending plans. The app stores information on your device and provides hosted account and sync features. Features may vary by device, version, trial status, and plan. The website introduces ihab and lets you register interest in the beta. Descriptions of future features, pricing, or purchase options are plans and may change.
ihab is not a bank, payment service, investment adviser, tax adviser, or accounting professional. It does not hold or transfer your money. Website information, calculations, exchange rates, schedules, and reports are tools for your own recordkeeping, not financial advice. Check important amounts and decisions against your financial institutions and other reliable records.
2. App Accounts And Responsibilities
You must have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms under the law that applies to you. Provide accurate account information, use an email or Google account you are authorized to use, and protect the devices and accounts that provide access to ihab.
You are responsible for the information you enter or import and for reviewing automated or scheduled entries. An entry in ihab does not itself make a payment or confirm a transaction with a bank. Contact security@ihab.fyi if you suspect unauthorized use.
3. App Data, Privacy And Backups
You retain your rights in the information you provide. You give us permission to host, store, process, copy, sync, and transmit it only as needed to provide, maintain, secure, and support ihab, and as otherwise described in the Privacy Policy. This does not give us ownership of your budget data.
Only upload information you have the right to use. If you record information about another person, you are responsible for having an appropriate basis to do so. The shared Privacy Policy explains how account information, Google Sign-In, optional Drive access, document processing, budget data, device storage, and service providers are handled.
Keep independent exports or backups of important records. Local changes may remain only on one device until sync succeeds. Signing out or resetting local storage can remove unsynced changes; review the app’s warnings before doing so.
4. Website And Beta Interest
Only submit an email address you are authorized to use. The form records your consent to receive beta invitations and ihab updates. It does not verify email ownership, create an app account, guarantee an invitation or immediate access, or authorize any purchase or recurring charge.
You may ask to stop messages or have your interest record removed at any time at privacy@ihab.fyi. The Privacy Policy explains what is stored, how it is used, and how to make a privacy request.
We may change or pause the website or beta registration and do not promise a beta release on a particular date. If a submission fails, the form will ask you to retry. The form shows a receipt only after confirming that your interest was saved; that receipt is not an invitation or a promise of app access.
5. Acceptable Use And Security
Do not use the app, website, or form for unlawful activity, impersonation, fraud, infringement of another person’s rights, or spam. Do not submit someone else’s email without authorization, attempt to access another user’s information or the private interest list, bypass authentication, account limits, or abuse controls, exploit vulnerabilities, introduce malicious code, or disrupt the service.
Send responsible security reports to security@ihab.fyi. Please avoid accessing other people’s data or causing harm while investigating or reporting a problem.
6. Trials, Plans And Purchases
Trial periods, account limits, and feature availability shown in the app apply to your account. A trial may end or change to a more limited mode when its stated period expires.
These Terms do not authorize a payment or recurring charge. If paid purchases are offered, the price, billing and renewal terms, cancellation process, and applicable refund information will be presented before you agree to purchase. Mandatory consumer rights continue to apply.
7. Availability And Changes
We may update ihab to add or change features, fix problems, or maintain security. Hosted sync, sign-in, and other online features depend on connectivity and third-party services and may be interrupted. Offline access depends on your device retaining a usable local copy.
We do not promise uninterrupted availability, perfect accuracy, or compatibility with every device, import format, or future operating-system version. We will provide reasonable notice of material service changes when practicable, and any notice or remedies required by law.
8. Ending Use And Data Requests
You may stop using ihab at any time. Use the available export tools to keep your records. To request deletion of your app account and associated hosted personal data, contact privacy@ihab.fyi from your account email. Website and beta-interest removal requests go to the same address. Data retention and backup limitations are explained in the Privacy Policy.
We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address misuse, a security risk, a legal obligation, or a material breach of these Terms. When practicable, we will explain the reason and allow an opportunity to resolve the issue or retrieve data. Urgent security or legal circumstances may require immediate action.
9. ihab And Third-Party Services
Rights in the ihab application, website, branding, and other materials belong to their respective owners. Using the app or viewing the website does not transfer those rights to you. Open-source components remain subject to their own licenses.
Google Sign-In, Drive, document-processing, hosting, authentication, and storage services are also subject to the terms and privacy policies of their providers. We are not endorsed by Google, your bank, or providers of data you import.
10. Warranties And Responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, ihab is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without additional promises or warranties. You remain responsible for financial decisions and for checking your records.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of or inability to use ihab. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
11. Updates, Questions And Disputes
We may update these Terms. The effective date appears above, and we will provide notice of material changes as required by law. Changes do not remove rights you already have under applicable law.
If you have a question or concern about these Terms, contact contact@ihab.fyi so we can try to resolve it. For product help, use support@ihab.fyi. These Terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or prevent you from using courts, regulators, or other remedies available under applicable law.
